Privacy Policy
Last updated 31 August 2026
This policy explains what information AKSD collects across the Rider, Driver and Hub apps, why it's collected, and how it's used and protected.
1. Information you provide
When you create an account, AKSD collects your phone number, name, and role (rider or partner). Partners additionally provide KYC information, identity documents, vehicle documents and licences, as part of verification. If you add a bank account for payouts, or a card for payments, that information is collected to enable payments.
2. Location information
AKSD collects your location while you're using the app to match you with nearby partners, calculate fares and routes, and provide live trip and delivery tracking. Drivers and dispatch bikers are tracked while online and during active trips or deliveries, so riders and senders can follow progress in real time.
3. Trip and delivery information
AKSD keeps a record of your trips and deliveries, pickup and destination, fare, payment method, and status, to provide the service, support disputes, and maintain accurate history in your account.
4. Ratings, reviews and communication
Ratings and reviews left after a trip or delivery are stored and shown, in aggregate, on the relevant account. In-app messages sent between riders and partners during an active trip or delivery are stored to support the service and resolve disputes.
5. Payment information
AKSD uses Paystack to process card payments and driver payouts. Card details are handled directly by Paystack under its own security standards, AKSD does not store your full card number. AKSD stores a reference token used to charge your saved card for future trips, and the bank account details partners provide for payout.
6. Notifications
If you enable push notifications, AKSD stores a device subscription used to send trip, delivery and account updates. You can disable notifications at any time from your device or account settings.
7. How information is used
Information collected is used to operate and improve AKSD: matching, pricing, safety, support, fraud prevention, and communicating with you about your account, trips and deliveries. AKSD does not sell personal information to third parties.
8. Who can see what
During an active trip or delivery, a partner sees the information needed to complete it, your name, pickup/destination and, where relevant, your live location. Ratings and reviews are designed so partners and riders can't see the specific written content the other side submitted about them, to prevent retaliation.
9. Data retention
AKSD retains account, trip and delivery information for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal, safety and accounting obligations. You can request account deletion through Support.
10. Your choices
You can update your account information, manage location and notification permissions from your device settings, and request a copy or deletion of your data through AKSD Support.
11. Changes to this policy
AKSD may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
